Position Description:
Brigham Young University has an opening for a full-time Men’s & Women’s Head Swimming and Diving Coach. The head coach will organize and direct various aspects of a highly competitive Division I swim and dive program including managing and leading coaching staff including Head Diving Coach and Assistant Swimming Coaches. Duties include but are not limited to: oversee and direct student-athlete recruitment, knowledge of and commitment to compliance with all of NCAA, MPSF and BYU rules and regulations (specifically the Honor Code), dedication to the academic and social development of student-athletes, provide leadership and instruction to student-athletes, attend and conduct regular practice sessions, monitor eligibility status and promote academic progress and success of student-athletes, direct clinics, exhibitions and camp activities (when presented), develop and maintain alumni booster relations, teach activity classes as assigned.
Qualificiations:
Bachelor’s degree required
5 years college Division I swimming and diving coaching experience required, 8 years preferred or the equivalency of 10 years national level coaching required
Knowledge of and proven record of peaking swimmers for performance at National meets required
Knowledge and understanding of Division I swim/dive, Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF) and NCAA rules and regulations required
Knowledge and understanding of and commitment to the University Honor Code is required
Ability to communicate and organize strongly and effectively is required
Knowledge of and commitment to BYU Honor Code required

April 2012
Salary:
Commensurate with experience.

Position & Salary:
Western State College is seeking qualified candidates to fill the position of Head Women's Swimming and Diving Coach. This is a new Swimming and Diving program starting in the fall of 2012. Full time, 12 month position including a full benefit package. Salary: $31,000/year.
Qualificiations:
Bachelor's degree required. Master's Degree preferred. Minimum of 3 years collegiate swimming/diving coaching experience preferred. Candidates with head coaching experience at the high school level may be considered.
Duties & Skills:
Organizing and administrating all aspects of a startup Women's Swimming/Diving program including but not limited to oversight of: recruiting qualified student-athletes, practice and competition scheduling, individual skill instruction, organizing and hosting home competitions, maintaining budget, cultivate alumni, direct involvement working with program specific fund-raising as well participation in Athletic Department fund-raising. Limited teaching within the Exercise and Sport Science Department. This individual will be expected to participate in promotional activities to launch this program as well as ordering equipment, uniforms, and any other duties to help with a positive start to the initial season of this program.
Knowledge of NCAA Division II swimming/diving practices and regulations, must become NCAA II recruiting certified, ability to establish good rapport and relationships with players, administrators, staff, alumni and the general public. Must have proven administrative, organizational and recruiting skills. Seeking individuals with character, integrity and leadership skills necessary to lead the swimming/diving program and compliment a strong, cohesive athletic staff.

Western State College is a four-year liberal arts college with an enrollment of approximately 2,100 students. WSC competes in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference and is a member of the NCAA Division II.

The University of Pittsburgh Division of Student Affairs, Intramural and Recreation Program is seeking a highly qualified, dynamic, energetic and creative candidate to fill the job of Assistant Director of Intramural Recreational Facilities and Aquatics.
The University of Pittsburgh's Trees Pool is the site of many major regional, national and collegiate competitions and collegiate events.
A recreational pool is located at Bellefield Hall.
Responsibilities include assisting the Director of Intramurals and Recreation Facilities in supervising all athletic facilities used by the Intramural and Recreation Program.
Duties will also include daily scheduling and setup of both aquatic facilities for Athletics, Intramurals and Recreation and Health and Physical Activity.
Responsibilities also include lifeguard recruitment, orientation, program management, staff supervision and event management.
The Assistant Director monitors building security and safety issues in addition to managing swimming pool water quality and chemistry with University Facilities Management Division.
Requires a Baccalaureate Degree in an appropriate area of specialization from an accredited institution (Master's degree preferred) plus 1-3 three years of related experience.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree, Lifeguarding Instructor, Water Safety Instructor, First Aid, CPR/AED and Certified Pool Operator (or equivalent).
Qualifications:
Master's Degree Preferred from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization in Education, Recreation, Physical education, Sports Management or related field and one to three years of appropriate experience running aquatics programs and facilities.
Minimum of 1-3 years work experience in running an Aquatic Facility. Required certifications: Lifeguarding Instructor, Water Safety Instructor, First Aid, CPR/AED and Certified Pool Operator (or equivalent).
Scheduled Work Hours to vary. Must work weekends and nights and during the day on weekdays. Schedule will vary according to Aquatic Events.
