Kalamazoo College in Kalamazoo, Michigan, an NCAA Division III, liberal arts institution in the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association, is seeking to fill a position as assistant men’s and women’s swimming coach. This is a full-time, 10-month administrative appointment. Responsibilities include assisting the head coach in the development of leading and organizing all facets of a Division III men’s and women’s swimming program, knowledge of and adherence to MIAA and NCAA rules, recruiting, practice planning and execution, monitoring student-athlete academic progress and mentoring student-athletes.     


* Bachelor’s degree required
* Proven successful men’s and/or women’s swimming coaching experience and/or swimming experience
* Ability to work non-traditional hours including nights and weekends
* A valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record in accordance with the College Driver Policy

The Graduate Assistant position is a two year commitment and will assist the Head Swimming Coach with the duties associated with the Men’s and Women’s intercollegiate diving programs. This includes coaching, recruiting, and administrative duties such as coordinating training, procuring equipment, dry-land and weight training supervision, recruiting, office hours and organizational skills, on deck coaching & competent computer and internet skills, such as Word and Excel, are required. We also seek to establish and maintain an environment in which a student-athlete's athletic activities are conducted as an integral part of the student-athlete's educational experience. The successful candidate will possess a passion for coaching diving, as well as assisting with day to day operations of the team, practice and meet preparation, meet duties, NAIA compliance, public relations, recruitment of academically and athletically qualified student-athletes, and a commitment to the student-athlete’s academic progress and degree completion.
Collegiate diving and/or coaching experience are preferred. This position provides a full graduate tuition waiver in either business administration or education and a $8,220.00 stipend each year.

Intercollegiate Athletics is seeking a Swimming Assistant Coach responsible to the Head Coach for performing or assisting with a wide variety of coaching duties in order to accomplish the goals and objectives of the teams.  Assist with coaching the Intercollegiate Men’s and Women’s Swimming Teams.  Plan, organize, and conduct recruiting campaigns.  Coordinate meet and tournament arrangements.  Plan, organize, and conduct team practices.  Assist with travel arrangements and office duties. Assist in conducting clinics, camps and workshops.  Adhere to University, Big Ten,and NCAA rules and regulations while supporting the core values of Intercollegiate Athletics.
This job will be filled as a level 2, or level 3, depending upon the successful candidate's competencies, education, and experience.  
Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or higher plus one year of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience for a level 2.  Additional experience and/or education and competencies are required for higher level jobs.

Head Men’s and Women’s Swimming Coach - Athletics and Wellness

Loyola University New Orleans is accepting applications for the Head Men’s and Women’s Swimming Coach. Within the framework of the Loyola University mission of educating the whole person, the Head Men’s and Women’s Swimming Coach will fulfill the duties and responsibilities of the position.  Responsibilities include but are not limited to: program and staff oversight, recruiting and developing student athletes, and promoting the program to the institution’s stakeholders.  This is a 12 month position.

Qualified applicants will have a Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree preferred; minimum of three years successful coaching experience; expertise in technical aspects of Swimming with respect to national rules and regulations, safety guidelines, and swim techniques; must possess and maintain a current valid driver’s license as a condition of employment; must also be able to successfully pass any driver background information investigation and any driver education courses required by Risk Management; current CPR and AED certifications; ability to work effectively with college student- athletes, faculty, staff, alumni, and members of the community; a philosophy on intercollegiate athletics which places the highest emphasis on the pre-eminence of the academic mission of Loyola and the role of athletics as a part of the student’s holistic educational experience for both the student-athlete and the student non-athlete; a well-developed personal system of ethics that will be used as the basis for supervising and developing the intercollegiate program. This position must be able to drive/transport athletes.  Must be able to set up and take down swimming equipment.  Ability to lift, move, and carry up to 25lbs.

The position(s) assist the Head Swimming Coach with administering the swimming and diving program while complying with all University, GLIAC and NCAA Division II rules and regulations.
ü  Assist with daily operations of swimming and diving program
ü  Assist Aquatic Director responsibility

ü  GA Award carries an annual stipend ($5,500+) and 12 annual credits of graduate tuition remission
ü  The position is opened for those pursuing a Master’s degree on a continued basis over consecutive years based on performance
