Centre College invites qualified applicants for the full-time position of Assistant Men’s and Women’s Swimming and Diving Coach. Reporting to the Head Men’s and Women’s Swimming and Diving Coach, this position is involved in all aspects of running a highly-competitive swimming and diving program, including but not limited to: identifying and recruiting successful student-athletes, skill development during practices and training, scouting, monitoring student-athlete academic progress, and other duties as assigned.
This position requires compliance with all NCAA, SAA, and Centre College rules and regulations.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED
Bachelor’s degree and previous collegiate swimming experience required. Previous collegiate coaching preferred. A commitment to the Division III philosophy; knowledge of NCAA and SAA rules; and a demonstrated ability to recruit, retain, and mentor student-athletes are essential. Additional qualifications include communication skills that allow for the ability to teach, motivate, and counsel student-athletes effectively as well as being self-motivated, positive, energetic, eager to teach, and a willingness to travel. Must have a working knowledge of Daktronics timing system and Hy-Tek software.
Ten-month, full-time position with competitive salary includes complete benefits package from the College.
