MIT - Assistant Coach/Assistant for Communications

ASSISTANT COACH, SWIMMING AND DIVING/ASSISTANT FOR COMMUNICATIONS, PROMOTIONS, AND MARKETING, Athletics, Physical Education and Recreation (DAPER), to work in collaboration with the Mary Frances Wagley Head Coach of Swimming and Diving.  Will assist in the management of all facets of the women’s and men’s swimming and diving programs.  This will include administration and budget management; alumni stewardship; recruiting; scheduling competitions, team travel, and weekly practice sessions; advising students; and maintaining compliance with NCAA and conference rules and regulations.  Will also be responsible for other duties under the supervision and direction of the director of DAPER communications, promotions, and marketing.

Job Requirements

REQUIRED:  at least one year of coaching experience, preferably at the college/university level; a bachelor's degree (master’s preferred); administrative, interpersonal, communication, and computer skills; and knowledge of Hy-Tek software. Writing and graphic design experience desirable.  Proven experience recruiting to a highly selective institution desirable.  Appropriate certifications in first aid, CPR, AED, and biohazards are required within an appropriate timeline and before the start of the competitive season (per NCAA regulations).  Job #12526  

This is an annual nine-month appointment.
