Franklin Pierce University, a NCAA Division II institution and a member of the Northeast-10 Conference, is seeking an enthusiastic individual for a full-time position of a Head Women’s Swimming Coach. As an integral member of the Athletics Coach staff, this position reports directly to the Director of Athletics. The position is a full-time, 12-month coaching position that is responsible for working directly with the women’s swim team.
In this start up program, the Head Coach is responsible for all aspects of the program development for the swim program beginning in the 2017-18 academic year. Responsibilities also include all components of coaching within institutional, conference and NCAA Division II regulations, scheduling, budget management, scouting, recruitment and retention of student-athletes.
Qualified candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree but a Master’s would be preferred. A minimum of two years working in a campus or athletic environment is required, experience coaching at the college level as well as knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations and guidelines governing the recruitment and retention of student-athletes. The individual must possess good organizational, oral and written communication skills. Candidates must possess a valid driver’s license and be available for travel both locally and nationally with the team, as required.
