St. Mary's College of Maryland Aquatics Center Director/Head Coach

St. Mary’s College of Maryland at Historic St. Mary’s City is accepting résumés for the position of Aquatics Center Director/Head Men's and Women's Swimming Coach.   The Aquatics Center Director/Head Men’s and Women’s Swim Coach is responsible for managing all Aquatics Center operations including programming, staffing, and proper operation of water chemicals and pool mechanical systems.  The Head Men’s and Women’s Swimming Coach is responsible for managing all phases of a competitive NCAA Division III athletic program. Responsibilities include recruitment of qualified student athletes; scheduling of contests; administration, organization, and evaluation of all aspects of the program; adherence to all NCAA Division III, conference, and institutional rules and procedures.  

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree required, and knowledge of NCAA and CAC rules and regulations.  Experience in collegiate coaching is preferred.  Aquatic Facility Operator Certification or equivalent with instructor certification in American Red Cross Lifeguard Training, American Red Cross CPR and CPR/First AID and American Red Cross Water Safety.  3-5 years of professional experience in aquatics center management with experience at the college or university level preferred.  Any combination of acceptable education and experience, which has provided the necessary knowledge and skills to fulfill the requirements of this position, may be considered.  Employment will be contingent upon successful completion of a criminal background check.
