 Requirements:

Education/Training
•Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.

Licensure/Certification
•Current American Heart Association BLS or American Red Cross for HCP required or completed by next scheduled South Lake Hospital class and other certifications as required (see attached).
•SWIMMING: Assistant Coach I –ASCA Level #1 Swim Instructor Certification – 4 years’ experience No Achievements -Completion of Level 1- Foundations of Coaching Course

Experience
•Minimum of 2+ years coaching experience preferred.
•Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) required.

 Job Description:

Essential Functions
•Aides the Head Coach in the instruction of athletes in their respective sport.
•Reports to the Head Coach and assists in the design and implementation of NTC sports program seasonal plans with primary responsibility for teaching and coaching developmental athletes, which includes:
o Formulating and implementing workouts
o Exercise sessions
o Technical instruction
o Tactical sessions
o Assists in running clinics and camps, assessing players for assignment to proper group
o Attends practices and matches as assigned by Head Coach
o Assists in any administrative duties assigned by the Head Coach
•Coaches daily practices, workout preparation, attends events, training plans, instructs, organizes and teaches lessons and/or clinics.
•Promotes a positive and fun experience while helping athletes reach the highest level of age group competitive success and long term development for collegiate and professional sport.
•Assists in the development and enforcement of NTC policies and procedures where necessary.
•Possesses excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment.
•Respects the rights and privacy of others and holds staff member information in strict confidence.
•Maintains regular attendance and complies with time and attendance policy and procedure.
•Adheres to South Lake Hospital’s policies and procedures; Mission, Vision and Values statements; Code of Conduct.
•Ensures compliance with all regulatory standards including Federal, State, local and Joint Commission.
•Prioritizes workload to manage multiple priorities.
•Uses problem-solving skills to meet goals.
•Enhances professional growth by participating in educational programs, current literature and/or workshops.

Other Related Functions
•Assists in the recruitment of and marketing to participants, teams, organizations and/or other such entities to use the Athletic facilities.
•Assists in promoting the sports complex and the related programs to the local community.
•Responsible for communication of the policies, procedures and related information to the NTC Sports customers and NTC team participants.
•Participates in parent meetings as directed by Head Coach.
•Performs other related duties as needed.
