Keene State College Head Men's & Women's Swimming & Diving Coach

Keene State College’s Athletic Department invites applications for a NCAA Division III Head CoachMen’s and Women’s Swimming and Diving to organize, develop and administer all aspects of a NCAA swim program.  This is a 9-month benefit position with appointment dates August to May. 

Duties will include but not limited to: recruitment and retention of student athletes, coordinate and conduct all practice and meet preparation, maintain budget preparation, scheduling, travel arrangements, requisitioning equipment, fund raising, promoting the program both on and off campus, public speaking, scheduling of facility use with other intercollegiate teams, training and conditioning program for student/athletes, travel extensively with team, the ability to effectively evaluate athletic talent through on site/home visits and video, effectively evaluate academic talent to help insure academic collegiate success, monitor academic progress of matriculated student/athletes, complying with all NCAA Division III, Little East Conference rules and regulations, Keene State College policies and procedures, and a commitment to service to the department and the campus community. Additional duties include responsibility for all pool maintenance and oversight.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree (master’s preferred), three years of a proven record of successful swimming and diving coaching experience at the college level, knowledge of structure and governance of a public, undergraduate college, and ability to work effectively with all college constituencies required. Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations is preferred.  Must hold or be able to obtain CPO (Certified Pool Operator) license.
