Serves as Head Athletic Coach for the Women’s Swimming & Diving Intercollegiate Athletics program. Provides leadership and supervision in all aspects of the women’s swimming & diving program including recruitment, retention, academic support, fundraising, and community involvement.
Knowledge of NCAA, Atlantic Sun Conference, and Coastal Collegiate Sports Association rules and regulations. Knowledge of all aspects of swimming and diving. Excellent interpersonal, management, organizational, and decision making skills. Ability to adhere to all policies, rules and regulations of the university, Atlantic Sun Conference, Coastal Collegiate Sporting Association, and the NCAA. Ability to communicate with and relate to student-athletes, coaches, athletic department staff, and representative of the institution’s athletic interests. Ability to uphold high ethical standards and core values, and maintain integrity. Ability to represent the department and university in a friendly courteous, and professional manner.
Successful candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization. Three years of experience at the college level or above. Current CPR/AED certification or the ability to obtain within two months of employment. Valid driver’s license and the ability to travel throughout the country. Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree from an accredited institution. Minimum of five years of collegiate coaching experience or equivalent. Demonstrated commitment to rules/policy compliance, as well as, demonstrated commitment to student-athlete success both academically and athletically.
