Nature of duties:

Kalamazoo College in Kalamazoo, MI, an NCAA Division III, liberal arts institution in the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association, is seeking to fill a position as head men's and women's swimming coach. This is a full-time, 12 month administrative appointment. Responsibilities include the development of, leading and organizing all facets of a Division III men's and women's swimming program knowledge of and adherence to MIAA and NCAA rules, scheduling of non-league contests, recruiting, and overseeing the program's budget. Additional responsibilities include teaching courses in the PE Department and administrative duties as assigned by the athletic director. Position start date is June 5, 2017.


This position requires a Bachelor's degree, Master's degree preferred, with proven successful swim coaching experience, the ability to work non-traditional hours including nights and weekends, a valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record in accord with the College's driver policy. Additional administrative duties may be assigned in the areas of events management, facility oversight or other administrative duties which meet the interests and abilities of the candidate.
