The Division sponsors teams in 23 sports competing under the regulatory guidelines established by the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), the Big Ten Conference and the Western Collegiate Hockey Association (WCHA).

Major Responsibilities:  Under the general supervision of the Head Men’s and Women’s Swimming and Diving Coach, assist with the responsibilities of a Division I Men’s and Women’s Swimming and Diving program in accordance with NCAA, Big Ten, and University regulations.  Primary responsibility is teaching and instructing student-athletes in the rules and fundamentals of the sport.  Areas of responsibility may include:  recruiting, summer camps/clinics, conditioning, public relations, travel, equipment acquisitions, and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree required.  Minimum one to three years of experience with collegiate, national and/or international swimming/diving is preferred.  Experience in creating and implementing a successful recruiting plan is also preferred.  Ideal candidates should demonstrate the following:  the ability to work cooperatively with diverse groups and administrators, faculty, staff and students; ability to develop and implement innovative approaches and solutions; ability to work well independently and in teams; and the ability to be flexible in accepting new responsibilities.

Conditions of Appointment:  This is a Limited appointment on an 11-month contract.  Salary will be assigned within the appropriate range, commensurate with the candidate’s qualifications and experience. An excellent benefits package is also included.  Anticipated start date on or after June 1, 2017.
