Wittenberg University Graduate Assistant Coach

Wittenberg University is seeking candidates for Graduate Assistant Coach. In the fall the university is starting a Masters in Athletic Coaching program. The program will focus on coaching and leadership. Along with the masters program, the successful candidate will have a hands-on experience on the pool deck. 

To assist the head coach in leading all aspects of an NCAA Division III athletic program.  10-month position.  Candidates must possess excellent organizational and communication skills, be able to interact effectively and appropriately with student-athletes, parents, alumni, faculty, peers, community members, and administrators, possess the skills to evaluate prospects, maintain and ensure student-athlete academic integrity, demonstrate a commitment to the mission and values of Wittenberg University and Division III and to compliance with NCAA, conference, and university rules and regulations.

Functions of the role are as follows:

-Assist Head Coach with practice and meet-day preparation & execution: 30%

-Recruitment of Student-Athletes: 25%

-Graduation of Student-Athletes: 20%

-Student-worker hiring, training, and supervision: 10%

-Service to Institution as assigned by Director of Athletics & Recreation: 10%

-Adherence to NCAA, conference, departmental, and university policies, procedures, and expectations: 5%

Preferred knowledge in the following technologies: microsoft office, athletic video and performance review software (i.e. Hudl, Synergy), social media, recruiting software (i.e. Frontrush).  Valid driver's licence. Candidates must apply and be accepted into Wittenberg's Master's Program
