University of Toledo Volunteer Coach

The University of Toledo seeks a volunteer coach for the 2018-19 season. This is an unpaid position. The candidate needs to be on deck for at least 75% of all workouts per week. The volunteer coach will assist with daily practices, dual meets (home & away), and other duties assigned accordingly by the Head Coach. The candidate needs to have some experience coaching in club or college, and preferably experience with swimming in college themselves. The ideal candidate is interested in a college coaching career. This position is a great way to gain some valuable college coaching experience. The season lasts from late August to late March.

The University of Toledo Swimming & Diving Team competes in the NCAA division 1 and the Mid-American Conference. The team placed 6th of out of 8 teams last season, which was the best placed position in five years. 

GTAC Age Group Assistant Coach

Job Position:
The Greater Toledo Aquatic Club, a year-round swim club that has operated for over 50 years, is seeking applicants for the position of Age Group Assistant Coach. The Greater Toledo Aquatic Club trains in Toledo, OH at St. Francis de Sales High School. The ideal candidate is passionate about the sport of swimming, is focused on swimmer development and loves children. The candidate will be in charge of our Bronze group. This group is a developmental group that swims all 4 strokes legally. The Bronze group ages range between 9-12 years old. With being the Bronze coach, there will be additional opportunities within the club.This position will require 5 late afternoon/evening hours on weekdays, and morning/afternoon hours on weekends.


  • Previous Coaching Experience Preferred but will train the right candidate
  • Maintain the safety and background check requirements required to be a USA Swimming Coach Member
  • Enthusiastic, Energetic, Positive Role Model, Team-Oriented, Good Communicator
  • Availability to work evenings and weekends.

Pay is based upon experience and will be an hourly wage. The Club will cover the costs of required certifications and USA Swimming membership, as well as reimburse approved professional development fees.
