Job Title: Female Graduate Assistant
Position Description: Lenoir-Rhyne University is seeking a Female Graduate Assistant for the academic school year of 2019-2020.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to, coaching, providing leadership to LR's Men's and Women's swimming, recruiting, traveling with the team for swim meets, and assisting head coach in daily operations. Developing championship teams, while maintaining the highest ethical standards. Developing championship teams, while maintaining the highest ethical standards.
The position includes 9 credit hours a semester for a choice of your graduate study program through the university, housing, meal plan, and a stipend each month. Most graduate programs can be finished in 2 years, taking 9 credit hours a semester.
LRU Swimming is seeking an individual who is driven and enthusiastic about promoting a positive swimming environment for its athletes. The team has made great stride in the last two year, some accomplishments include; earning over 150 career best times, breaking 32 school records, and earning 4 individual NCAA "B" cuts. In order to keep this momentum going, LRU is seeking someone with a desire to learn and teach the sport of swimming in order to advance the team goals and accomplishments even further.
Qualifications: NCAA Division I swimming experience preferred, but not limited to other experiences. Bachelor's Degree required. Understanding and ability to manage equipment/apparel logistics is preferred. Must possess a valid driver’s license and have the ability to work evenings, weekends and some holidays as needed. Ability/experience working effectively with coaches, students, faculty, administration, alumni and community constituents is imperative.
