Job Title: Head Coach-Swimming & Diving

Position Description: The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Department of Athletics is seeking applications for the position of men’s and women’s Head Swimming & Diving Coach. 

Responsibilities (include but limited to): planning, development, and administration of all facets of the men’s and women’s Swimming and Diving program, which include, but are not limited to: the recruitment and development of qualified student-athletes; preparing and administering all budget expenditures as related to the operation of the sport; establishing and attaining the goals of the sport program; leading and mentoring assistant coaches and program staff to create an exceptional academic, training, and competitive experience for student-athletes; knowledge of and adherence to NCAA Rules, Regulations and Policies as they relate to all appropriate program events; administering all scheduling and travel arrangements; participating in fund raising events, promotions, and marketing opportunities associated with the sport; working compatibly and cooperatively with the staff and personnel of the Department and University; must demonstrate integrity, leadership, a strong commitment and ability to motivate, teach, counsel, and recruit academically qualified students. Promote academic progress of student-athletes on and off the field. Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire through athletics; additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications: Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree required, master’s degree preferred; all academic degrees must be from fully accredited institutions; successful collegiate coaching experience and knowledge of NCAA rules required; excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills required; high moral and ethical standards required; proven ability to recruit, motivate, teach, and develop highly skilled student-athletes who demonstrate a commitment to academic and athletic achievement required; five years of swimming & diving coaching experience at the NCAA Division I level required.
