Stanford Captures Final TYR Top 25 Swim/Dive Poll

Following a 151-149 upset win over visiting California, the Stanford University men's swimming and diving team have moved to the top of the final CSCAA / TYR Top 25 Poll.  Indiana and Florida finished dual meet season ranked third and fourth respectively.

The results come a week after the Stanford women were unanimously voted number one by pollsters and the pair of perennial powers won't have to wait long for a rematch when they face each other at next week's Mens' Pac 12 Championships.

The Gators, captured the men's SEC title this past weekend, though the results do not factor into the poll which aims to compare teams in head-to-head competition.  The third-ranked Hoosiers will attempt to defend their Big Ten championship this weekend in Minneapolis while fifth-ranked NC State and sixth-ranked Texas will go for back-to-back titles at this weekend's ACC and Big XII Championships.

Michigan and Arizona State both dropped behind Texas to finish seventh and eighth while USC moved ahead of Georgia to wrap up the top ten.

The rankings are voted on by CSCAA-member coaches.
