CSCAA Opens Call for Presentations

The past year has provided society the opportunity to reevaluate, reinvent, and reimagine previously held assumptions. Instead of focusing on what we couldn’t do (meet in person), we imagined how a digital platform freed us from the limitations of travel, room scheduling, and even the weather. We asked, how could we use this year to offer programs, engage more coaches and make the convention more accessible than ever.

This is a terrific opportunity to help your peers, demonstrate best practices, and inspire others. If your proposal is selected, you will receive complimentary registration to the digital convention.

The CSCAA Digital Convention will include dozens of presentations ranging from training and stroke technique to coaching philosophy and program development. For 2021 we are soliciting proposals for a limited number of original presentations to join our lineup. We welcome all proposal submissions related to competitive swimming and diving and especially encourage submissions related to:

  • stroke technique;

  • strength & conditioning;

  • diving;

  • exercise physiology;

  • professional development; and

  • diversity and inclusion.

Presentation Format

All presentations will be prerecorded with presenters joining in realtime for Q&A during the convention. Potential presenters should complete an application (below) by March 1.

Reviewing Presentations

Members of the CSCAA Board of Directors and staff will complete reviews of proposals and make recommendations. Presenters whose proposals are accepted will be notified as quickly as possible. Incomplete applications will not be reviewed.

Selections

If your proposal is approved, you will be notified immediately and receive a Speakers Agreement and additional details.

  • You’ll be required to schedule recording of your presentation by April 5 so that it can be edited.

  • For marketing purposes, the CSCAA reserves the right to edit the title and description. All changes will be shared with the presenter for mutual agreement.

  • Electronic copies of presentations and/or handouts (PDFs) will be shared with registered attendees via the conference app.

Presentations are non-commercial forums. Presenters should not promote a product, service, or anything else representing monetary self-interest.
